I am so glad you’re here!
Please have a look around my site to see how I may be able to help you. In short, I combine acupuncture with cutting edge health science, lymphatic drainage, manual therapies & herbal medicine to get to the core of problem symptoms in a wide range of areas.
Any questions about my approach or your health, please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
About Me
I'm Siegrid.
Through more than two decades of clinical work and thousands of consultations, I've had the privilege of supporting people through some of life's most challenging and transformative times—from fertility journeys and cancer treatment to menopause, burnout, fatigue, mystery illness and a wide range of other chronic health concerns.
I combine acupuncture, Chinese medicine, lymphatic drainage, craniosacral therapy and health science to create personalised treatment plans that look at the whole picture—not just individual symptoms.
My multidisciplinary clinic, West Street Wellbeing, opened in 2010 and is now based in Crows Nest. It’s a busy yet peaceful clinical space where people consistently leave feeling much better than when they arrived.
In the way healthcare is at its best, my whole goal is to help your mind and body find their way back to lasting balance, resilience and optimal wellbeing—in a way that feels amazing.
“Health is wholeness, with nothing left out and everything in just the right order to manifest the mystery of balance. Far from being simply the absence of disease, health is a dynamic and harmonious equilibrium of all the elements and forces making up and surrounding a human being.”
Andrew Weil, MD
How I help
-
Your history and lifestyle, your thought patterns, worries, hopes and dreams determine how your body manages with all the demands of your life and how you got to where you are now. Creating the right treatment plan to enable lasting change and reach the results you’re hoping for, requires knowing a bit about you and the many ways restrictions and deficiencies can creep in.
-
Points are selected with in-depth understanding of Chinese medicine and how one area of the body balances another. Coldness needs to be warmed, heat needs to be cleared, stagnation needs to be moved, deficiency needs to be strengthened. Simple concepts with powerful and long lasting impact.
-
Despite its ability to transform, acupuncture alone is rarely the best way forward. Subtle changes in food and drink choices, movement, breathing, visualisation, and other lifestyle choices can make a massive difference to how you feel and how successful the treatment is. Knowing what to prioritise and how much change to your current patterns is really needed is where I come in.
-
Herbal medicine and neutraceutical supplements help to change body chemistry and provide building blocks for lasting change. ADHD brains benefit from magnesium and saffron, asthma and wheezing responds very well to the herb Perilla, low hydrochloric acid responds very well to the herb Gentian. The list is endless. Carefully selected herbal extracts and supplements help to speed results and provide intervention and support for symptoms between acupuncture visits. Some people prefer not to have herbal medicine or supplements for any reason including already seeing a naturopath or other herbalist which is completely fine. Herbal medicine is an option we can discuss.
-
You are unique and so is your treatment. Doing the same points on every person with a headache, or every person with lower back pain would not yield equal results. Treatment is finely tailored in every way to suit you and help you achieve your goal in the shortest time possible.
-
Most people I see are also seeing or have seen a GP, a specialist, a psycholgist, a massage therapist, physio or chiro. Having acupuncture does not mean you have to stop seeing your other team of support people but it may mean you have less need to. I receive referrals from a variety of other health practitioners and doctors and can provide feedback and updates for them where required, requested or appropriate.
