I wish to acknowledge and offer respect to the Traditional Owners of the land on which I practice, learn and reflect;
the Cammeraygal people of the Eora Nation.
I respect the deep connection of the Cammeraygal people to this beautiful and abundant land for time immemorial.
I offer respect and gratitude to elders past and present, and commit to amplifying the voices, stories and history of First Nations people.
I’m moved by the stories of Cammeraygal woman Barrangaroo, who died in childbirth.
The stories tell of her incredible bravery and spirit, standing tall for her people, land and culture, not afraid to be seen.
