Hi, I’m Siegrid Delaney.
Thank you for considering me as part of your patient's healthcare team.
I value collaborative, patient-centred care and recognise the important role that GPs, specialists and allied health practitioners play in supporting their patients. My role is to complement that care by providing evidence-informed acupuncture and integrative treatment tailored to each individual's needs.
This is a one-page printable summary you can give to patients. It includes treatment information, clinic details, parking, and booking information.

Assessment
Every patient undergoes a comprehensive assessment that integrates traditional Chinese medicine diagnostics with contemporary clinical reasoning and, where appropriate, review of pathology and imaging provided by the patient to help inform treatment.
Treatment is individualised and may include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine (where clinically appropriate), craniosacral therapy (light touch manual therapy for deep fascial release), manual lymphatic drainage, nutritional support and lifestyle recommendations.
Young children receive a type of acupuncture treatment that does not require skin penetration. Small tools are used to gently tap and scrape acupuncture points and channels. I am also currently investigating incorporating laser acupuncture into my practice. I expect to be able to offer laser acupuncture to children by late 2026.
Where patients are under the care of a specialist or multidisciplinary team, treatment is adapted to complement their existing management plan.
Communication
I believe clear communication is an important part of collaborative healthcare.
With the patient's consent, I can provide updates regarding assessment findings, treatment goals and progress where this is clinically relevant. Clinical progress reports are available to referring practitioners with patient consent.
Patients receiving ongoing care undergo regular clinical review to assess treatment response, progress towards agreed goals and the ongoing appropriateness of care. Treatment recommendations are adjusted accordingly, with discharge or maintenance care recommended where clinically appropriate.
Oncology Patients
Patients undergoing active cancer treatment are welcome with the knowledge and support of their treating team. During chemotherapy or radiation therapy, my role is supportive, with treatment focused on symptom management, quality of life and recovery. Treatment can reduce reliance on pain medication, improve digestion and appetite, improve mood and overall energy, and make cancer treatment generally more tolerable for a better quality of life. I do not prescribe Chinese herbal medicine or nutritional supplements where these may interfere with medical treatment or where contraindications exist, and I communicate with the treating team whenever appropriate.
Peadiatrics
Children are welcome for treatment at any age from newborn to teens. Infants and toddlers are typically treated using a non-invasive surface level style treatment utilising gentle tapping and scraping method. Older children are usually treated with laser acupuncture or traditional acupuncture if tolerated. Treatment is useful for allergies, skin conditions, lung congestion & asthma, digestive problems, sleep problems, anxiety, symptoms of hyperactive and inattentive ADHD, agitation and emotional dysregulation in autism. Children are usually excellent responders to acupuncture treatment which provides a viable supportive treatment to many chronic conditions.
Referrals
Referrals are welcome but are not required.
If you would like to discuss whether acupuncture or integrative care may be appropriate for a particular patient, please get in touch however suits you. I’m always happy to take a call when not with a patient and typically respond to emails between patients.
